ABOUT the CPC

Helping our neighbors understand how a Rezoning or Conditionial Use Permit (CUP) application impacts all of Goochland County.​​

Purpose:  Improve and protect our quality of life by working together to choose how we can best grow as a community.
Continue to collaborate across our growing network of individuals, organizations, businesses, planners, developers,
and elected/appointed officials.

A primary objective of the Committee will be to enhance community input and communications.

We will build on the cumulative planning initiatives documented to date.
With particular focus on potential land use patterns, existing planning processes/tools, and relevant zoning
ordinances.

 

Community Planning Committee members developed the Neighbor to Neighbor - Five Steps approach. 

 

The Community Planning Committee was created December 11, 2023.

The first workshop  "Understanding Planning and Zoning in Goochland" Community Educational Workshop was held on Monday April 8, 2024 at Goochland Baptist Church.
